What. A. Year. Back in May, it feels like an eternity ago, we founded our association in Ostende. During some holidays we made our way to Belgium, to the beach, we discussed during walks on the sand, we put our heads together around the kitchen table and the outcome was: BRIGHT LIGHTS. Well, actually, the first project, before we even decided on a title. And with that project we applied for ENCC (European Network of Cultural Centers) Incubator +. A programme, where we would learn how to write good applications for European fundings. Then, over some months, nothing happened. Michael and Anna Lisa traveled to iceland (because, why not) and while they were on the road during an earth quake, Michaels mobile phone blew up. He opened his mails, where the notification came from. “Oh my!”, he yelled. And not because of the earth quake. But because ENCC accepted our application. This meant: One of us had to go so Serbia for a week, because that was were the programme took place. Anna Lisa took a plane and spent long working hours in Novi Sad, the second biggest city in Serbia. Beneath great people and great food a clearly shaped project came out.
The next months were followed by many events, many plans and new members. So here we are, ready to rock 2024 with great things ahead!
