Friday the 13th. I hadn’t even noticed that today was theoretically such an unlucky day. The agenda was too intense and the time in it too short for me to have noticed that too, haha!
Like yesterday, today started with a fantastic breakfast: muesli, scrambled eggs, banana, yogurt, Mediterranean vegetables – everything a hungry heart could desire! Strengthened, we then went back to the OPENS. After yesterday’s pitch, a lot had cleared up in my head. So it was time to pick up a few more tips from our experts! EU projects have two important aspects to consider: Gender Equality & Greening. The first aspect was not a problem, because that was exactly what our project was about. The second, on the other hand, was more difficult to integrate, especially in an international project with five countries, and we could definitely use some ideas there! And we got them.
Later in the afternoon, there was a lecture by Zmaja from FABRIKA. This is a nearby cultural centre in Novi Sad that has already set up numerous European projects together with students. Admission is always free for pupils and students. After the plays, there are always discussions moderated by young people. This concept has been a huge success so far! After the lecture, we went to the centre to see the current exhibition and stage. And afterwards we went to a well-deserved dinner in a restaurant that traditionally cooked for us 25 people. It was the last evening for all of us together and therefore particularly intense.
To crown it all, I treated myself to a city walk into the centre. Historical buildings, open cafés and bars everywhere. From IVKO, a Serbian clothing manufacturer, I picked up a cute pollunder and a coat in which I look like I’ve stepped out of the film MATRIX. On the way back, I discovered a free open-air concert, which I listened to. And while I was standing there, I felt like staying longer.
